This is a three-floored building which had two Г-shaped side further constructions in the form of one-storey outbuildings. From the very beginning of construction of Former vice-governor mansion and up to these days it has a front brick fence. Apart from vice-governor’s services there was also located a governorate chancery during tsarist ruling.
From the beginning of construction of Cadet Corps in the second half of ХІХ century, the mansion was transferred to the administration of this educational institution. From thenceforth, building accommodations were used as living rooms for teachers of Cadet Corps. Today these outbuildings are dismounted. It is interesting to note that Former vice-governor mansion is the only construction of ensemble of the Round Square which has no columns near the principle front and is the least building in its sizes in the Round Square.
In 1943 the mansion was almost burnt down. But in 1956 it was reconstructed and accommodated as residential building.
